I brought my bike on a Saturday to have all front spokes replaced, plus several rear spokes. All was finished by day's end, including truing both wheels. Service was excellent, very courteous, no rush, explaining what was done and why. And all of it for a very reasonable price. Even 5 minutes before closing, the staff still took the time explaining different bike shoes and their features. Thanks for all your help!
Just moved to the island, and today was my first time in. Technically my second time in was today too. I didn't catch anyone's name but in any case everyone working was phenomenally helpful. The first trip was to pick up a set of lights, as I will be riding at night occasionally. The set I got was reasonably priced and seems to be of decent quality. I haven't tried them yet, since the sun is still up. Anywho, I chose to leave a review due to my second visit. After leaving with my new lights I swung through a mini Mart to grab a bottle of water, as I was riding all the way up the hill to Ona Ona. Which by the way was a very intense hill climb for an inexperienced rider such as myself. As I made my way back towards Palani to head up the hill, just as I was passing the shop, my chain snapped! Fortunately, I was right outside the shop. I walked back in with my bike and they immediately came to the rescue. New chain, made some adjustments to the gear cables and my breaks. Even adjusted my seat to a more comfortable position (it worked) and set my handlebars a little better too. They only charged me for the chain and the install. Thanks to them I was able to make it to my appointment to view an apartment (albeit the gruesome uphill ride that it entailed) on time. HUGE THANKS for the help and excellent customer service. I will most definitely be back. If your on Kona side and need anything bike-this is the joint.
Absolutely the worst service I've ever received at a bike store. I went in to pick up a rental for a high end bike but the bike I received was not the bike I reserved on-line. The Cervelo P2 was in terrible working condition with a loud "clack" coming from the ball bearings in the crank. When I told the tech about it when I returned the bike he brushed it off and said "we'll check it out". The tape on handlebars was haphazardly applied and in the Hawaiian heat, leaked glue all over my hands. When I arrived to pick up the bike, the service manager stated they were very busy and went on to attend other customers who were buying items from the store despite my arriving way in advance of them. The staff was short with me and not helpful with the exception of the mechanic that cut the seat post down on the bike they gave me because the P2 was too big for me. I spent almost $200 to get on my way and should have received better service.
absolutely amazing service... great help with fit and advice, best service ever. and nice people... I had reserved on-line the wrong size (dumb of me) without realizing it until they had already installed my pedals .... but no problem, no complaints, these guys are very generous with their time and attention. and best fit ever... had a week of dream cycling /training, can't wait to come back!!!!! New manager is a wonderful fellow as are his team.
