I had Laser SX with Dr. Senft and my life truly changed. I have worn glasses since I was 10 years old. My mom who lives in Kona had cataract surgery with her before and she took me for a checkup when I came for vacation to visit her. I was surprised how quick, and painless was the process. I just looked at the green light and I was done. WOW it was something else that laser! The whole thing was amazing, and it was actually cheaper than the states for my surprise. I woke up this morning and I could see the patterns in my clothing, the face of my son with all the details I never seen before! I cry a bit to be honest. Thank you mom for paying for it, you were right! And Dr. Senft you made me a fan of yours!
A+++If you want to find a doctor that truly cares About your vision on the big island then call island eye care. It is so difficult to find help when you need it out here, but she has saved me and several of my friends from the misery and obscene costs of having to fly to oahu for an eye emergency. Yes..sometimes the wait is long to see her for help but trust me she is worth the wait.
The staff was so nice and very attentive. They were able to get us in right away for an emergency. A very compassionate team of professionals. The doctor is really sharp, kind and has many credentials. We were in good hands and very grateful
I can't believe the wait times in this office. I was in the waiting room for an hour and a half (after being asked to come in a half hour early) with no word from anyone. When I finally went to the receptionist and asked, "Hey, I was just wondering is everything alright?" to only receive an aggressive, rude response "Well, you're next. I don't know what's happening, but yelling at me won't make a difference." I was not yelling, I've worked in customer service my entire life. I'm very polite to staff on person and on the phone. Always. She drove me to tears in the end. I can't believe how bad their service is. Get referred somewhere else. Save yourself hours of wait and from being harrassed by a rude staff. If negative star was an option, I'd pick that.
Left my contacts at home thinking I wouldnt need them on vacation because I rarely wear them, but forgot I was going snorkeling. Island Eyecare saved the day and gave me a sample pair to wear for the day. They were so helpful!
