HHB hires cheap, unskilled, and irresponsible workers and cut corners to make money for their bosses, developers. Almost every home in our subdivision faced faulty and substandard constructions. Both DR Horton and HHB should be banned from doing business anywhere, since they act as thugs and not professional or honest businesses. I hope they would not be able to cause so much trouble for anyone in the future.
After 10 years taking shower with noisy facet, our plumber just changed the facet and all was over; I was able to take a quiet and pleasurable shower after over 10 years. Both DR Horton and HHB are like a gang who work together to build the cheapest homes with highest return and do not care for consumers. I paid almost half a million dollars for a house with faulty and substandard workmanship and even faultier repairs that they performed.
I had and still have nightmares with this company who built homes for DR Horton in Pualani Estates. The house was bought in 2005, the same year I had noisy shower and they said it was because of something in outside facet. Then, we had leak from the roof which took us multiple requests, and after accusing us to create the problem, they finally came to fix it; there was mold inside the wall, and it took them weeks until that nightmare was over. I was told that the problem was over and all would be fine after that repair; this was 2007. For a while I could see the color-change of wood floor on the same spot as the water leak before, but I thought it might be was from the sun or so. last summer (20015), the same spot on the wood floor had sank and the wall above it had bulged; the same leak from the same spot on the roof was present, and due to heavy rain it had caused damage to the wall and floor again because the pipe was not repaired properly. When we cut the wall in November, there was huge amount of mold behind it. Under the floor, there were both mold and live termites with their eggs and larvae which had eaten up the floor; half of the living room was filled with termites because the new installed wood floor back in 2007 was not termite treated. When I requested the repair from DR Horton's home warranty, they slapped the 10 years limited warranty that had just expired into our face and refused to help us, and I had to pay to repair their faulty repair.
