We came into the shop on a whim while waiting for a table at the nearby restaurant - we were open about that on entry. Owner wasn’t phased and happily invited us to browse freely. We did at our leisure, unencumbered by pressure, sales suggestions nor any oily tactics. He answered wife’s questions completely and openly - the experience a very enjoyable one. We bought a great piece of sterling silver jewelry by a local artist at a local shop - everyone’s happy. Would definitely go back.
What a nice find. I got my new favorite turtle ring and necklace here and some traditional Hawaiian style earrings. The owner/shop assistant was such a sweetheart and we had a great time shopping there.
I have purchased five different pieces of jewelry over the last three or four years. Most of the pieces have been excellent. Recently I purchased some turtle earnings in a rose gold style. The earrings looked great; after six months they turned black and pitted on the back. We took the earrings into the shop and were met with very little sympathy. It was then explained that the coloring came from copper and sterling silver, and that they could tarnish if a person has high acidity. The explanation was poor, and showed no empathy for our situation. These earnings were a gift for my mother. Paying more for quality, or understanding the possible problem would have been a better option. The handling of the complaint has driven me to look for a new place to buy my gifts. Buyer beware.
