I have been trying to call this post office for three days. No one ever answers the phone!
a very busy post office that does a decent job. carriers are also polite and helpful. I have received many packages from them.
change of address and holding mail can be troulblesome as they get so many requests
Waikoloa Post Office! Its pretty sad how slow these people are. If you have to call do not waste your time. they will not answer and you can not leave a message. It makes us look bad when these bumpkins can't even locate a package. On several occasions I have gone in with one yellow slip for several packages and only got one of the packages. There will be 3 workers in the back and one at the counter with a line going around the corner. The people that gave them 5 stars are employees.
The people at the Kailua Kona Post Office are the absolute best. They have delivered pkgs & letters w/addresses that would confound Sherlock Holmes. They ask the right questions with a smile. Can't ask for better.
Four stars are for the people at the counters helping you; unfortunately they are the ones that get yelled at & have to explain why.... The counter employee's have always been polite, helpful and have gone out of their way to help beyond their means.
But yes I have experience lost mail. My postal box is at the bottom line of the postal boxes and I have had a lot of missed or someone else's mail delivered to my box. I'm thinking it's because it's too low for them to bend down and place it in the correct box. Unfortunately I'm that person whom has to wait for it to be found and has to wait until it is correctly delivered. However, management of a better delivery system in the back/behind the scene would help the problem.
