Jim was amazingly helpful and courteous throughout my time in Hawaii. I wish I could have stayed and used his boots and worked on the new farm, because it seemed like I could plow through anything in them and better get work done. I would recommend Jim's Shoes to anyone looking to buy a good tool: durable boots that will let you get work done well without getting hurt.
A month later, after walking over many more lava rocks, the edges of the bottoms of the boots began to shred off. I brought them back to Jim and he agreed to change these Red Wings for another pair that was more 'old school' with Garmont soles. He gave me the right advice the first time and the right advice when I returned.

Because I am poor, I took the new boots back for a refund.
