We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kelly, Dr. Head, and all the staff at Keauhou Vet. We have been taking our maltipoo, Hannabell, there for check-ups, shots, and teeth cleanings since 2013. They are always very professional and treat our baby like their own. Last week Hannabell was attacked by much larger dog. Without the hospital's quick response and expertise, she would not have made it. She stayed at the hospital for 4 nights receiving around the clock treatment; and now a week later, she has almost fully recovered. We are so very thankful for everyone at Keauhou Vet and highly recommend everyone to take their furry family members to them!

Our experience has been positive. We started with Keauhou Veterinary when we relocated with our dog to the island (airport release) and have stayed with this practice. For us, what has been primarily important is Dr. Head's interaction with our pet and his thorough explanations during examinations. Equally germane, our canine bud has always experienced improvement (ears and allergies) after recommended treatment. Having read several reviews elsewhere about the rates and charges, we have been told that we could find less costly care elsewhere. However, quality medical and health care for our canine family member is foremost and costs are important, but secondary. We have always been able to get timely appointments, and the staff always follows up. Just a tip, Dr. Head is linear in his communication style: he considers what is relevant and does not necessarily veer off in extended conversation around what he believes is tangent-oriented information. Yet, he is on the floor with my dog - talking, petting, rubbing, scratching ears, and giving my guy a lot of good attention. This is why we appreciate this practice.
