Do not rent anything from this place. The shop sells sunscreen and surf equipment, which is fine. But whatever you rent, you rent at your own risk. We rented two boogie boards for the week. Unlike most places, there was no paperwork except a an old fashioned carbon copy of your credit card and request for your phone number and name. When we went to return our boards or let day before or flight, the place wasn't yet open. As there was no do off spot, I tucked the board at the side of the building. I called when the store was open. The woman said I should have known the opening time and if not, I should have returned the boards to the security guard. Although the boards were fine, Miller's charged a 25% penalty fee! I explained I was never informed of this policy, and that while I understood surfing me for missing or damaged boards, I shouldn't be fined when there was no written agreement. The woman became extremely nasty on the phone. Everything else in Hawai'i was amazing but Miller's left a sour taste in my mouth.
Rented our snorkel gear and chairs from here. The guy who rented out the stuff was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The girl we returned the stuff to was not so nice that's why I took away a star. Blamed us for taking some anti-fog and not returning it. We never received any and actually ended up buying our own and leaving it for others to use at 2 step. Best place to go if the guy is working. Avoid if the girl is behind the counter you might get stiffed.
Staff was very helpful and quick finding us scuba gear. The price for week rentals for 2 was also excellent. Happy to have supported such a friendly small business.
I always come here for snorkel gear. They have some prescription options and the prices are good. Good gear too that doesn't leak. They also carry a large variety of other sporting supplies like skate gear. The owner is very personable and everyone is accommodating and friendly.
The spray on sunscreen and water proof phone cases they sell are amazing.
