I've come there for years since 2008 and this is the 1st anyone has been unfriendly... hope she finds done happiness.
Don’t go to this place the owner is a Bully I had to go late afternon after a busy week of work ( with my 3 kids) after finding out my washer wasn’t working my kids were running all over the place playing with some other kids wile I was texting miy husband to came after work and help and the owner came an treated me on calling social services if I don’t take care of the kids plus another stupid lady second him yeah I understand kids shouldn’t be running but his reaction wasn’t right I washed just enough to have something to wear the next day and left and I will never be back to this place Ican go and wash my clothes on the ocean rather than in this place
I've always come here and been reasonably sarisfied (we don't have hot water attached to our washer at home so I do the hot loads here), but honestly for the amount they are charging, more than HALF the machines should be working. Every time I come in there are more and more out of service. Today is the last time I will come here though. After waiting half an hour to start my laundry, (all the machines were full, after all) I put my clothes in, selected regular hot cycles, and put the money in the machines to start. ONLY THEN did I find out they no longer provide hot or even warm water to their customers. There is no notice posted. I'll wash my clothes on cold at home without paying upwards of $5 per load when you factor in Tyke's ridiculously inefficient and overpriced dryers, thank you very much. Oh yeah, the back half of the place smells like sewage now, and you have to carry a key attached to a large bucket to use the gas station-style bathroom with the sometimes-functional toilet.
The new manager came at me for charging my cell phone, meanwhile I had been observing a Philippine woman not only charge her phone, but talk on it while charging a whole hour before I plugged in.
The absolute worst laundromat. 75% of their washers and dryers are "out of service." The cost of the wash and dry are more than the laundry mate across the street. If you select hot water for your wash, its cold water. Only reason I'm here is because the other laundrymat was full.
We love Tykes!
She said that I wasn't allowed to charge my phone that the new owner wad changing things, to which I replied really? So I've always charged my phone here when I've needed it and this lady has been charging het phone for over an hour.
She addressed some other lady hostile as well who had nothing to do with the other phone charging and then proceeded to grab my charger and the other lady's charger and snatched of the wall saying that I guess everyone needs help with not charging...
My response was, you know you could've asked me not to charge my phone, you didn't have to touch my phone.... she didn't like that and said that once I've finished washing I would have to go somewhere else to dry my clothes, saying that I was 86'd from the place... lol she must really lack control of her llife to feel the need to bully people who need to user these machines.
Its takes me less time than if I did laundry at home.
