Chartered the "Huntress" for a full day (July 19, 2017) for my two grown sons and myself. Met Captain Steve and Dana at the boat and off we went on time. It was a slow day but Steve was constantly on his phone with other boats trying to find the marlin. Dana was on deck training us all on what we could expect and what to do when a fish was on. These two guys were relentless in their search for the fish. They stayed out well beyond the 2:00 pm return time still working. At last, on our last pass before heading in, we hooked up. Our earlier training paid off. One son in the chair while Dana pulled in the remaining lines and advising him on technique. The other son was geared up to "tag" the marlin and his role in that process as well. Eventually, we pulled the marlin in along side of the Huntress. The marlin was tagged and released and the smiles were endless. the overall experience was simply terrific. These two guys worked all day enabling us to get that marlin. As I recall, that day, one other boat caught two tuna. The rest of the boats were shutout. While there is never a guarantee of a catch, Steve and Dana went above and beyond for the smiles I saw on the faces of my two boys.
