Great views of the water. Awesome sunsets.
This is a great smaller condo complex (4 low rise buildings, each with 12 units). Wonderful panoramic ocean views and right next door to the Kona Country Club. Walk to the full service Keauhou Shopping Center, Keauhou Bay, and a very short distance to Kahaluu Beach Park (AKA Snorkel Beach). The complex has a great swimming pool, lots of free parking, and a quiet relaxed atmosphere.
Noisy complex. Trucks driving uphill right next to property. Or next door will be sawing floor tiles right outside your entry door. Thanks neighbor. Renting? Make sure they have air conditioning. Buying? Enjoy the Association dues and taxes.
This is an old complex. The rentals are hit or miss depending on if the owners remodeled. The owners aren't very friendly and I've been told because of all the rentals. If the unit doesn't at least have air conditioning in the master bedroom forget it. The "second" bedrooms are part of the living area so expect it to be very warm at night in many cases. This can be a noisy place to stay because all your windows will be open trying to stay cool. And if your older there are so many stairs for most units. The pool area is kept nice so that is a plus.
Clean and quiet out of the way condos. The people were friendly (except for one cranky old lady who yelled at is to be quiet at 9 am!) Pool is we'll taken care of and clean. You'll definitely need a car. Location is great: 10 minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Captain Cook.
