Kona Community Aquatic center is a wonderful part of our community. I love going there alone and swimming laps for exercise and taking my daughter there to practice swimming in a controlled environment. She also often runs into friends regularly and makes new ones. This place would be a 5 star rating however their hours of operation are strange. On the weekend they close at like 11:45am and open back up at like 1:30pm. That's like prime swimming time for the little ones. I would love if they wouldn't close on the weekend days just Saturday and Sunday. If they stayed open all day more family's would make a day of it!
They have so many great swimmers it come to this pool every day and their masters class so I could never be in it has some of the most amazing athletes from all ages a great place to just hang out enjoy the Sun and be a part of the come to life
I would love this pool more if they would post updated hours signs. I frequently show up here at the usual hours only to discover some mysterious closure with no sign to explain the closure or what to expect. Regular hours shift all the time and without warning. I understand there are perpetual ataff shortages but even a dry erase board near the gates would help. Currently sitting in my car with a parking lot full of other people, all wondering what the hell.

Grateful this pool is here to enjoy! Not only is the pool clean, and plenty of space for all ages to enjoy comfortably but they offer a huge dressing area with warm showers, and privacy. The staff is friendly and can be trusted to keep you and yours safe for a fun experience.
