This is a great small beach not right smack in the middle of a resort. Unlike most of the big island, it has great soft white sand. There is a lifeguard station and there is a shore break so it's great for some boogie boarding or body surfing. The beach has bathrooms and rinse stations as well. There is a parking lot adjacent to the beach but it was closed when I went. Not sure if it was due to it being off season or the fact that we arrived in the late afternoon. There is also another parking lot across the street that I ended up parking at that was free. There is also limited street parking as well but pay attention to parking signs because parking is only okay right in front of the beach.

This beach was our go-to beach! It was close to where we were staying and has free access and a parking area across the street. There is a volleyball net setup (next to the lifeguard station) for anyone who wants to play and enough space on the sand to find a spot even during peek beach time. There are only a few picnic benches so if you want to claim one be sure to get there early. There are also permanent bathrooms and a rinse off area. The sand is soft and the waves are inviting. This is a fun beach for boogie boarding and body surfing, fun for the whole family!

Great beach for body surfing and lazing on the beach. Street parking is NOT the only option. There is ample free parking in a lot opposite to the beach on the north side. One gentleman had his stuff stolen when he left it unattended on the beach. The cops were super helpful and helped him get his car keys and a paper report in no time. Take care of your stuff!

I really enjoy this beach. The waves are consistent and fun. Big enough to be a thrill and yet not too overwhelming. There is defiitely some rocks in the middle of the beach to be aware of, so keep an eye out. Fun and easy to access!

This park is just a short distance North from magic sands beach. I went to this park on a Friday morning in November and it was fairly quiet, with a few people having lunch, a group painting nature scenes, and a hula-hoop class. I was able to find street parking very nearby. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that many of the better areas to sit and observe the ocean were roped off due to overgrowth of coconuts on the palm trees. I'm definitely glad they limit access to those areas (I saw a few coconuts fall while I was sitting there), but it turns this into a very small park. There is a shallow area on the North end of the park that you could step into the ocean, and I saw someone snorkeling near the rocks there.
