you would not believe the difficulties I had with my 90 year old father and his constant printer problems. Each week he called me to fix one problem or another. However the printer was for some reason never printing correctly. I decided today to get some HP support. Googled it! That is how I got connected to MyGeeksWorld. What great support they were. It seems my dad had over 5 thousand infections, and the only thing he knows what to do on the computer is email! Within 60 minutes these folks had completely corrected the problems and I purchased the correct insurance. What team work. They are the best!!! They were my angels of the day.
The two words which best describe this "company" are ABSOLUTE SCAM! They get your information through a Trojan or virus of some sort that causes a popup window warning of some immanent computer disaster. This gives a 1-800 number for you to call. Apparently, when this happened on my Grandmother's computer, the popup claimed to be associated with AVG Anti-Virus...hint, it was not. When you call, they are very nice and more than happy to collect in excess of $400 for what it is billed as "unlimited technical support." They were even kind enough to print a very pretty certificate informing the buyer of the service.

Never again IAM calling this dam company even if I have to get a brand new computer. When I frist perchansed my computer I had put a password so no one can use it but me. When I shut down my computer and try to log in again it say my password was not right but I was typing the right password I called the computer company and they took me to my geek world. They could not do anything about it the guy nicely told me to take it to best buy and they can fix it. So I took it to best buy. Later on they kept calling me saying I had agree to pay 199 dollars for this dam thing why would I need it when best buy had fixed it for 40 dollars. So they guy kept calling saying I had agreed to pay 199 and that he had processed the payment. I told him that was impossible because I only had $1.79 he kept insisting I had agree to it. He told me to open my computer and he starts to install this dam thing later he takes me to the billing payment and I had told him i thought you had processed it other wise I can canceled this dam thing but no he kept insisting he had already processed. So to make this short they gonna take $199 on December 17 because that's when I get paied when I never agree to install this dam thing. When busy buy fixed it for 40 dollars. I want a refund or cancel this dam thing before they take my money. I don't want to speak to that mark guy anymore
I really don't know how you can improve. Sometimes it's hard to understand you. Maybe pronoun you words slower so we can understand better. Besides that I'm a happy return customer.
So fast forward a few months to the first computer problem, and when they were contacted, they asked for another $270 to "install software and update Windows." Of course, the updates did nothing to fix the problem and the software installed was some crappy hack antivirus. AVG was not thrilled about that. So the computer went completely off the rails during the 3+ hours my Aunt and Grandmother were dealing with these liars and cheats. When I attempted to contact MyGeeksWorld on their behalf for a refund, I was only met with half-assed excuses and blatant lies about the computer. Suffice to say, a quick windows system restore, malware check, and re-installation of updates have fixed the problem.
I find it very difficult to believe that "unlimited technical support" does not cover any or all of those items. Heck, they even charged her for free software; which I'd imagine violates the EULA of said software.
In short, do not give these people a dime!
