When I asked owner about some of these advertised discrepancies - she informed me that "everyone keeps asking me about these. I have to change my listing information". -Duh

Room modern and attached personal bathroom was nice touch

Separate entrance to get to room

Cons:

Good parking

-No one home when arrived, but was able to phone owner and find key

also, if you look around the property there is a lot of "fan mail" pinned on notice boards around the living room, supposedly from guests who enjoyed their stay. it's not normal and feels creepy. for what it's worth, i would bet that every single one of them is fake.

TV in room

*No* computer available as advertised (did have WiFi)

the house was cluttered and filthy (especially the bathroom) and the hostess was exceedingly rude and unreasonable in dealing with it. she made us feel very unwelcome and denied that there was human faeces on the rim of the toilet, even as we were standing over it pointing it out to her. eventually when she acknowledged it she said "well, you know what must have happened, i didn't see it when i was cleaning because the toilet seat was down". who cleans a toilet without raising the toilet seat???? the fact that she charged us $50 for a "cleaning fee" is nothing short of criminal. ultimately we left on the evening of our arrival, forgoing the money we'd already paid upfront for the sake of getting away from the horrible experience. we set off at 11PM at night without a plan, but were delighted to find Kona Coast Resort just a short drive away for the same amount of money that this dump charged us, and wow that place is nice. the hostess of cozy corner kept all the money (which we had paid upfront) and refused to give even a penny refund, but she was kind enough to leave us with the words "you can leave if you want - go cry about it!". this turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of our holiday, but for all the wrong reasons. you are really better off avoiding this place at all costs.

Weird place. Lived there for 2 nights have not met the owners. It's a private house and they are renting 2 of the bedrooms downstairs. When we arrived no one was home so we called the phone # and got a lock code to get into the place. We got all the instructions and that was the only time we had any contact with the owners. In the evenings someone was always home watching TV but never bothered to come and say hi or see who is coming in & out of their house. Seemed a little odd but the bedrooms & bathroom s were clean & had everything we needed. The common areas like the kitchen & living room were crowded with stuff and wouldn't be pleasant to hang out in.

Comfortable bed

*Not* B & B as promised (had a kitchen area it you bought your own food)

*No* printer available as advertised (forget printing boarding pass)

*No* laundry available as advertised

Quiet. Secluded (assuming this is what you want)

Main living room area very messy

Room not clean upon arrival. (We spent time cleaning it with Wet wipes)

So I missed my flight and was stranded at 12pm. I decided to book a one night stay here. I honestly give it 5 stars. I came here in a taxi and the owner was waiting outside for me. She is the sweetest lady I have ever met. The hospitality is amazing. She escorted me to my room. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. Wifi and TV is provided here. This beautiful home is perfect for you if you are looking to be in a quiet area. I felt very comfortable and safe here. Not to mention the amazing view on her back porch. I recommended this lovely home to anyone and if I come back to Kona, I will surely stay here again!

*Why a "cleaning fee"?

Pros:

Despite an exorbitant cleaning fee, the place is cluttered and dirty. I had to repair the toilet and the shower curtain rod during my one-night stay. The accommodations are stingy (one towel for two guests, only three spoons in the kitchen). The setting is quiet and secluded, the view is amazing, and the owner is very friendly.
