It was a great place that offered free breakfast that fit our reason for our trip there. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect. Although it’s not oceanfront, it’s close to very good restaurants and a walk away to the beach or oceanfront. Definitely will be staying here our next trip to the Kona side of the Big Island.
The building is quite new. There's a small outdoor pool and hot tub. Also a mini gym on ground floor. The location is nice close to the sea side and small shopping street behind the hotel. Just take a closer look at the bill before check out. I got automatically charged for parking fee even though I don't have a car parked there.
Excellent location, if, like us, you wanted to be in town and walking distance to shops and restaurants. We got there at 11am, check in was at 3pm, but there was a room that was almost ready... Within 15 minutes we were in. Great room, too, larger than is have imagined, with a kitchenette of sorts (small sink, microwave, cupboards and a Keurig coffee maker). Newish place, or recently updated. Recommended.
Nice hotel. Close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and farmers markets. Located in downtown and good location. Check in was okay, internet was down so ate nearby and came back. First room we were assigned to was locked, so we went back out to get another room. Rooms are the right size. AC is cold and there is ample lighting. Beds are also comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. 2-3 options to choose from and we ate twice since we woke up at 6 am. Service is good too. They have plenty of recommendations.
This is a great place to stay in Kona. Note that this is not a luxury resort with direct beach access. But there is so much to see and explore in big island that you likely do not want to be confined to your hotel. So I am giving it 5 stars for the price-benefit ratio. It has great location, great service, and rooms where clean and spacious and included breakfast was pretty decent. If you are looking for a hotel to spend the night and not the day I sure recommend this one.
