Great place, wonderful location - close to the beach and close to the town. It just opened so everything is brand new. Service is very friendly and professional. I'm very happy to have found this place!
It was still coming into being when we stayed here and so excursions and flyers for things to do weren't there but the motivation for getting to its full potential was in full effect.
The owners have two other hostels on the island called the Pineapple Lodge(?) which are well regarded and so once it's properly ticking over I think you'll have a fabulous time here.
A nice family of flightless birds roams the grounds if you want something to distract you with your morning coffee.
I'm sure it'll be a 4 or 5 once it's got itself up and running properly but you won't go wrong by selecting this hostel. It's location is unbelievable!
Brand new upgrades and the pristine space is beautiful. New tile floors, and baths. The newly constructed lanais and covered gazebos are sturdy and welcoming. Hostel is across Alii Drive from the beach, and less than a mile to the town pier(where the Ironman triathlon swim starts)! Its got a GREAT VIEW of the sun setting into the ocean. Good kitchen space, and lots of options to where to sit down to eat dinner. Two doors away is Habanaros Grill, and they make good burritos (the veg was super). I will definitely go back.
I pay $ 55 us for one night! One of the most expensive hostel with the least service and comfort! The bed is really uncomfortable and in the room it is really hot no air circulation. The kitchen is ok but it has only 3 large plates. For my part I do not recommend this hostel!
We got a private room was a tremendous view looking out over the ocean from bed (If you stand up you see a swanky 5 star hotel, so stay in bed). It's the only one for now I think and so ask for it ahead of time). Lovely sitting area, the usual fellow travellers making up for temporary staff, a shop just up the hill for supplies, a great kitchen with a separate beer fridge for those late night hushed discussions on a seating area away from the dorms and private rooms - really nice place.
Fantastic spot. Would definitely visit again!
