This was the highlight of it Hawaii trip, good wise. The furikake chicken is a must-try. But I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Staff and service are great!
I stopped in here for dinner with my boyfriend and was so happy with the Filipino options! You order at a counter and then sit for them to bring out the food. There was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. I got pork adobo and my boyfriend got short ribs. The serving sizes were pretty big and great for the price, $10-$15/plate. There was a parking lot as well.
We were on the Big Island for 8 days and ate at this place 4 out of those 8-days. Delicious local food, super friendly. Service is a bit slow, but well worth it. The food is terrific, definately coming back next time I'm on this island. Mahalo for the great food, amd excellent service.
The entrance to this restaurant is weird and hard to find. It is inside a shopping strip that looks like closed.
This restaurant is a one trick pony. Their garlic chicken fry is good rest of the items not ao much. The chicken is good with their house made sauce. The shrimp is not that good. The quality of the ingredients was okay. The fried chicken was little oily though. The plate size is big. I definitely recommend once for the chicken. You can decide by yourself whether you want to make another trip or not.
Searched for local favorites in Kona past year and found this place, little hole in the wall with the best food. Back this year again and still the best. Think that Garlic Chicken Furikake is the best thing I've ever eaten. Must check it out!
