Coconut Shrimp! Won Ton Soup!!! Chicken Katsu!!!! I have never been disappointed. Being next to the Dolphin Spit is an added bonus.

Some of the Yelp reviews complain about the service, which I really don't get. They were fine, even brought my order out to my table, rather than just calling it out.
This gets some bad reviews in places, and I don't know why. Yes, it's old and cramped (they stack up pop cases in the small sitting area), but the food quality, quantity and prices are comparable or better than L&L. It's similar food, chicken and beef with rice, the other dishes you'd expect, but they have a bit deeper menu. I really like the coconut shrimp, which is not what you might expect, it's shrimp in a sweet white sauce, nice, and plenty of them. You see locals eating there often, they know, it's good cheap food and a lot of it. I hit the place every time I'm down on Palani, it's interchangeable with L&L as far as I'm concerned.
Exemplary farm to mouth Chinese bistro although I noticed an abundance haoles. The cashier is very traditional in the fact that he treats the kitchen like a maoist sweatshop.
Based off reviews we chose Kona BBQ over going to L&L for a third time. We were very pleased with our decision! Delicious plate lunch. We got the BBQ mix plates which has short ribs, chicken and beef. The cuts of meat were hearty and tasty. The rice was sticky and good. The real standout of the meal was the mac salad which was delightful. Great food and better prices than L&L! Totally worth a visit. We've got enough leftover for dinner tonight, too!
