My fiancé and I went for sushi last Saturday night. They told us the owner was at the sushi bar with his friends and so there's no seat available at the sushi bar. When we asked how long it would take, in a very rude manner, the server said the owner would stay there from 5:30pm till the restaurant closed. We took a peek at the sushi bar, we realized the fish was dry because they got everything pre-cut. Not sure why this restaurant is rated so high. Well, I won't recommend this unless you want to experience something rude. Good luck.
We are never disappointed and the fish is very fresh.
Excellent sushi on a busy Friday night. Glad we stopped by. They have both indoor and outdoor seating if you desire. Started with a beer and they have several on tap including local or sapporo. Sake more your thing? No worries, they have you covered. Started with nigiri and then got a roll with avocado and eel. Yum. Some tuna sashimi to finish up. They have a few deserts but decided to pass on than. Overall, very good.
We call ahead to make sure we have a reservation. It can get a little crowded during high season and even in low season you might have to wait.
Some of the best sushi and sashimi on the island! Consistently good, with great service and good food. One of the best places in Kona for sushi.
Delicious sushi. Prompt service.
Decent presentation. Salmon sashimi was good and the rest is ok. Tempura was not crispy and flakey as I would like. USDA Prime ribeye did not taste prime, but more like choice. Not a big fan of sweet flavored food. Customers service is good.
