First, the sushi taste good and great value.
We got in line and the lady came out and said 45 mins from when you order. A half hour later we ordered and she said 2 hours from now and then closed the place 2.5 hrs early. Apparently it's Seinfeld's Soup nazi. If you leave the door open she kicks you out of line.
You do have to know the sushi was good and the price was good.
It does take a while to get ur rolls but that's because everyone is calling their orders in! They are the best sushi in town! Our favorite is the Ninja star and general! Highly recommend!!!!
Delicious food, but they close randomly through out the day and sometimes close early without warning.
amazing sushi rolls at an amazingly inexpensive price. You can order a pre-defined roll like the Ninja Star, which had spicy ahi, shrimp tempura and avocado, or, create your own with up to 6 ingredients in 1 roll. Nothing super fancy like eel or white tuna, but lots of the common stuff-- ahi, salmon, shrimp, octopus for fish, (even chicken) and mango, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, onions etc for veggies. 1 roll per person is more than enough. 8 gigantic pieces per roll. We ordered 5 rolls and a family of 4 couldn't finish it all! Bit tough to find as it was tucked behind a small wall on a 1 way street, but worth the adventure to find it!!
Love Hayashi's, it's been a staple place for me for 16 years! However there's almost always a wait, anywhere between 30 minutes and to an hour+. Sometimes you will go by and there will be a sign that says there closed because of the amount of orders. I love their sushi, although keep in mind it's not your typical sushi, a bit more rice which makes for big portions, but it's delicious. I recommend the Mele' ("may-lay") roll with extra spicey sauce! So good!
