I could have given five had we not come back for a second time. The service during the second visit was a mix of a two or three star.
Drinks: the menu is fun. They have the classic drinks a bar in Hawaii is expected to serve, and many others. A fun thing to order are flights of one of their mixed drink lines.
Food: the coconut shrimp is a must. They are perfectly coated a crisp. They are served hot with two sauces. A Thai and a creamy sauce. The burgers are OK. I ordered rare and got it medium cooked. They advertise as Angus beef, but it did not have the floor of an Angus beef patty. It comes with portion a nicely made fries.
Good breakfast buffet. It was a little pricey but what isn't in Hawaii? We plan to count this as breakfast and lunch anyway. Excellent selection....good food.
Bartender was pretty awesome! Discovered a be drink, Mercenary's Downfall! Bomb!
Parking: There is a lot with a charge.
Service: Our first night was excellent. It was busy, at the same time our waiter kept our water and soft drinks filled. He was sure to bring a few extra napkins and was sure we had all we wanted to order before the kitchen clised. Our second night was a waitress who could not wait to get the job done and bring a bill. She took our forks away before we were done. We had to ask for a soft drink refill which she bright and dropped with a comment, eye contact, or acknowledgement anyone was at the table.
Don’s Mai Tai is good (best local signature) 1944 Mai Tai is best! Can’t beat the view. Excellent service and food.
While ordering food, the PubWench ask me if I would be at the pool. Thinking they would bring me the food i began to wonder why it was taking so long.... The order was at the bar, reaching room temprature. Why ask me that, if you don't have time to deliver?
Location: You can't beat the unobstructed sunset view from the bar.
