Worst experience ever at a restaurant. Got seated and didn’t get water. Waited for 10 minuets and they sat 4 to 5 more party’s of people. I watched them get water. Waved down a waitress and she said I’ll be right with you. Waited another 5 minutes and still NOTHING are you kidding me!!! With a menu that has $399 dollar meals and you can’t even give me water!!! Never again will I step in to that horrible excuse for a restaurant!!!
Been coming here since I was a child. Fantastic food and atmosphere. The service is amazing! Best Date spot on the Kona side.
I went here for a work lunch. Sitting by the coast with the cool ocean breeze makes you feel like you're in another time, especially when you look up at the elaborate (but not really functional) ceiling fan system - it's quite a sight.
I went to the Kona Inn twice when I was in town. The food was great, Ashley & Ann provided very good service, my only problem was when I arrived for my reservation the 2nd time they did not have a table for my family. When the hostess did tell me to go to the table it was dirty and anther party was trying to take the table. The hostess's were literally yelling at each other in front of customers & were very rude towards one another. This restaurant came highly recommend from our friends back home & I was truly disappointed with the organization.
As a vegan, there weren't really too many options, as the menu is loaded with chicken, fish, and burger options (all of which my co-workers enjoyed). I got a basic salad and steak fries - pretty good, if not fairly standard. So, it'd be nice if there was something other than taking the meat and cheese out of a salad to eat vegan here. But, really - salad and fries are tops with me.

food, consistently the same. The only real negative here is the service. The servers here are for the most part of the elderly crypt-keeper style Kona Specials. Expect great views, pretty good food, and confused senior servers that will routinely do a mediocre job.
