We opted for a few small bites to make a meal. The egg roll with pork filling was very good. The crab cakes were also delicious. Got the poke stack but could not eat it. It has mango sauce and I’m allergic (that critical piece of info was missing on the menu and we had to ask twice to find out). My partner was excitation though that she did not have to share.
Amazing food and staff. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful, making great suggestions and taking our special requests in stride. The food was much better than the "high end" meals we had eaten at our resort and at about 30-50% less than we would have paid back at our hotel. We'll definitely have to come again before we end our visit.
Don't worry about waiting for a table, Jen and Holly will take great care of you at the bar. Food was pretty much a life changing experience. We had the pork chop and the sea food trio. Started with the ahi tartar. Amazing! And the drinks....don't even get me started! Trip advisor reviews don't even do this place justice! We will be back next time we are on the big island!
The waitress was very nice and very sociable. I had an incredible experience at Jackie Rey's. The food is also great. The fresh caught fish is good but so are their nightly specials. If you go I strongly recommend the Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert.
They had a few standard deserts like chocolate mousse cake but did not draw me in.
Not bad. Not bad. Most impressive was their long wine list. Lots of good white and reds on the list.
We were suggested this spot by a former local—YUM!!! Our party of 8 all loved our meals—nothing was short of amazing. We booked an 8pm reservation (they apparently close at 9pm) yet we never would have known —as our server was fantastic and we never felt rushed. As a former server, I hate staying late—and I really respected just how welcome we felt from start to finish. Our server was also very perceptive—and was sensitive to realizing when one of our guests wasn't a fan of her drink. I had the prime rib special and it was perfectly cooked. Cocktails were fantastic as well—a highlight of our trip to Kona!!
