Luckily, I was able to bypass the 800 number system to get an agent to contact the local office. Kehau took the matter into her hands and made sure the box was back out for a second time today for delivery. I just received it half an hour ago. After delivery, I received a very nice call from John (by special request because of the other review saying how helpful he was) confirming that I received the package. It was stressful enough trying to prepare for this big trip without having to worry about not having the books that I'm presenting to recipients overseas.

Just awful. Use UPS instead.

This place is absolutely horrible!! You can feel the attitude the second you walk in the door!! I don't think the employees even like each other. You can tell!! FedEx needs to remove whomever the manager is and start fresh. They treat their customers horribly.

Thank you, Kehau and John, for resolving this issue. Hopefully some protocol could be instituted for new/temp drivers. I don't think I have to tell you that the reason people use FedEx is to get packages on time unlike dealing with the Post office.

John who works there for shipping operations is an outstanding employee. A glitch in my interisland transfer of hospital records to my residence was only possible because he chose to take the extra time to troubleshoot. He went through the truck to find the hospital records package and made sure it was on the next truck out. He also took the extra time to call & say it was on the way since he knew we were stressed because we needed these records for surgery. Heartfelt Mahalo John God Bless!

Fed ex requires someone to be at a location for eight hours just for a pick up a package and then the employee doesn't have any information on the previous pre paid account so you have to repeat the delivery. What a waste of everyone's time.

I am so glad that I waited to review this as it started out as getting only 1 star. Part of the problem is that I don't have an address, but Fedex has delivered here before without problem. Some drivers even called me to confirm the location. Apparently on-time delivery isn't the priority and since drivers use their personal numbers, they are not required to call package recipients to deliver packages on schedule.

I got items shipped to this center. I know its not their centers fault directly that one of my items fell out of the box and was found in TN. But the only reason why I rate poorly is because I got a voicemail from a rep and she said "because FedEx representative said that the box was in good condition....." When infact, the box was beat up, tape half falling off and the rep that signed it to me even said "so, the box opened during shipping and we had to re-tape it shut.". Do you guys communicate? I already talked to the Trace Department with Madison, she was great with customer service. I don't know if they asked the rep directly that signed the package over for me, but I think its a pretty shady way to tell the recipient that the rep described the box as "good condition". Investigate before you call clients back.

Adding to the frustration, there is no direct way to get in touch with the office in Kona (an hour away). This package was absolutely crucial to receive by today (originally supposed to arrive yesterday) as the contents are for an overseas trip I'm taking the day after tomorrow (Sunday). But both days, the temporary driver made the lamest of attempts to deliver and of course, didn't use the phone number to find out the location. The building in front of my house (the address we gave them) told him to check the houses back here on the first attempt and even though I was sitting facing the driveway, I never saw him. Instead, he entered that I wasn't home. Read the other reviews. Talk to people in town and you'll find this is a common excuse even when people are home (in our case we had 5 people here).
