5 stars for spectacular ocean front holes and scenery, but overall experience was marred by aerated sandy greens and constant disruptions by mowers on almost every hole. Grounds crews working along the fairway edges and a random assortment of beatup old pickup trucks that kept creeping around lurking by the tees and greens. Maybe it was just bad timing on our part, and to be fair the greens fees were half price due to the condition of the greens, but having grounds crews working in the periphery was a bit disappointing and detracted from our round.
This c was a great course... Not very difficult but the views are wonderful.
Course was great and all the staff were great...except for the older gentleman that checked us in........he was very unpleasant ......apparently doesn't have any respect for military personnel as he promptly informed us that there are no military discounts today......I guess Kona Coast Country Club doesn't support the military!.......thanks a lot.
Very nice golf course with a lot g good ocean views. Pricey for the afternoon ($110+) but the views are what you pay for. Best golf highlight of my trip. Was just at waikoloa beach course. Cheaper for the pm doing than kona but the lava rocks were just not working for me. I'd come back here next time I'm in the big island.
Beautiful beautiful golf course in very good shape. Not mown tightly and greens aren't quick by any means but they are consistent (really have to pay attention to the grain!) but it does provide a very pleasureable round. Almost every hole was very scenic and they aren't designed to beat you up.
