Worst visit to Outback ever. Glad the ones on the main land are better. Steak was not cooked to order, not that our server would know since she never asked why I wasn't eating it. Never cleared a single plate, from appetizers until we left. Do better Kona!
No one would wait on us.. 3:30 in the afternoon, not many other people there.. They sat 2 tables after us , waited on them.. Still no service for us..
Small kine jam-up w/ order resulting in placing it a second time … the manager (Josh) t/w us, wait staff very attentive and the long wait was quickly forgotten. “Things happen” yet the situation was handled professionally … and the food was outstanding! Mele Kalikimaka …
Finally we had to ask. Then the waiter wanted nothing to do with us because we told him we were not happy.. He said he went to get the manager.. He NEVER came... We left...Very disappointed.. It was my birthday !! :-(
Somehow Kona's Outback is always surprisingly good. Food is always better than expected, drinks are good, and service usually really good too. Nothing shocking here, but what's shocking here is that it usually operates like a mainland Outback and works well. One of the best places in Kona for Happy Hour drink specials!
