Usually, we end up visiting this place once or twice during each trip to Kona. It is casual, and we like the open air ambiance. The food is good and reasonably priced (for a tourist area). You are right in the middle of downtown Kona, so it's easy to "people watch" and right across the street from the bay. Since there are lots of shops in the area, it is easy to incorporate sight-seeing, shopping, and a meal all in one place.
While service was prompt, the entree was seasoned well, our food was served cold. We told our server, but nothing was done about it. Very disappointed.

Food was far below expectation. Tha hamburger in loco moco was obviously overcooked, tasted like burned charcoal. It also took ages for the food to come even though it wasn't crowded at all.
I love this place so much! Everyone is always so nice to us and the food is great. It is absolutely my favorite place to go and now that I am moving to the Island, I will be coming to eat there as often as I can.
I'm from southern California where there's good Mexican food everywhere, so maybe I'm spoiled. The food here was okay, but I can't give it a better rating than this.
