This beach is a short hike from the marina and is a great place to lounge (although beach umbrellas are not allowed). The shore is protected from the waves and makes a nice, calm pool for people to swim or snorkel. There are not many fish to see here but there are plenty of honu (sea turtles) that sun themselves on the rocks or forage for algae in the shallows.
Amazing place to see sea turtles swimming in the shallows or beached for the warm sand. We went around 6:00 and there were easily 10-15 turtles there. Relatively quiet beach, be careful not to disturb the turtles if you go.
Turtles! We saw at least 7 turtles eating in the area, it was so awesome to be able to be within 30 feet of so many green sea turtles. Definitely worth the short walk from the harbor parking lot.
I was told to come here for turtles and even though it was raining I came and oh wow I saw turtles. Fantastic. Came around 5pm
This is a wonderful place to come visit, especially if you have kids or older family members who want to swim. You can get in and out of the water easily, plus there is a very good chance to see Honu (turtles). It might seem like you are going the wrong way as you pull through the marina, but just keep going! Make sure to head to the North side of the marina to get to this beach.
