One of the richest snorkeling I have done, with so much fish and coral. Venture a bit further away from the crowds to enjoy a quieter swim, as at the start it does get busy with a lot of people trying to get into the water. We saw a turtle which stayed swimming with us for a good while. I could not expect such a good experience from the outside of the water.

The waves can get pretty powerful too. Sometimes I would get carried into a rock reef by a waves.

The snorkelling is out of this world. Lots of amazing fish and coral to see and today a green turtle swan right past us.

Be aware the of the rocks when you snorkel though. It's easy to become "beached" on the shallow parts. I was stuck on a shallow area of rocks for about 10 minutes and I picked up many scrapes, cuts, and bruises on my legs and hands because I was struggling to get the deeper water.

This is one of the best spots to snorkel on Hawaii island. There's so many fish and the snorkeling area is pretty too. There are so many different varieties of fish here. I was also able to see a couple of sea turtles too!

This is a very popular snorkeling venue. There are many colorful fish, and sea turtles are often seen here. There is a sea wall that, generally, keeps the water calm in this area. When the conditions are right, you can also enjoy watching surfers out by the end of the sea wall. Nice sand beach, bathrooms, lifeguards, and food trucks make for a relaxing experience.

Be aware that you should not stand on the coral as it damages it and kills it and you are not allowed to harass or touch the turtles.

The best snorkeling experience on Big Island. The beach Park is clean but gets very crowded easily. Toilets are available and loads of parking spaces nearby. You can rent snorkeling gear for a few bucks no problem. Very easy to find as visible from the main road. Turtles are at home there!

We only went to this beach on the recommendation of someone we spoke to and never wanted to go any where else.
