Lovely cottage and great host. Beautiful wooden construction, hand made even down to the chairs on the lanai. The cottage had everything we needed plus extra little touches like granola for breakfast. Kate was a great host with plenty of information on arrival but left us to ourselves unless we needed her. Great location close to Hawaii Volcano's national park (only a few minutes) but very quiet surrounded by the Bush.
The smallest out of the two luau I have been to, but did not disappoint. Impressive dancing, good hostess and interactive band. The dancers were definitely the highlight as they danced in the styles of French Polynesian, Samoa and Tahitian. Good stuff.
Great units, and a good stay. Be wary if booking through a 3rd party booking site, not all the fees are shown up front. Call the front desk and ask, they're very straightforward. The travel websites are a little... behind
People who work there were friendly and helpful. Grounds are nicely kept. There are 3 pools. No beach, but nice short trail goes along the waterfront. Unit we had was specious with 2 bedrooms 2 bath. Lanai large enough to host dinner for 3 couples. Ocean view. If we go back to Big Island, we may consider staying here again.
We have rented here several times & it has been great!
