Outstanding experience. Enjoyed a half day tour of historical sites neat Kona. The tour guide Kalā Holiday made history come alive. His knowledge of history, culture, the big island, modern island cultural resurgence, and the Hawaii language, was exhaustive.
For the narrow winding roads the ride was comfortable enough not to stir my wife's tenancy for motion sickness either. Great plus.
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, Kalā knows this island. For our next big island tour we will make sure to schedule with him again.

Longer Review: The pretense to this business is to drive around the big island in order to visit various interesting spots. However, you spend all your time driving- 11 hours. I don't know how my wife or anyone else voluntarily pays them money for an 11 hour car ride. We were picked up at 720 and didn't reach out first destination (donut shop that pays kickbacks to tour operators to stop there) until 10am. Even if Johnny Carson were your tour driver, he couldn't fill 11 hours. Having said all that, our guide did his best to make the 11 hour drive interesting. He showed us how to open a coconut and how to harvest a sugar cane if you need a sugar surge. I loved that part and our guide was great, but 11 hours is ridiculous to sit in a car in Hawaii.
This would be an especially good tour for first time visitors to the very big space full of such diverse sights and experiences.
Very good guide, Daniel, led the Grand Circle Tour for a good overview of the Big Island, Hawaii. It was lovely having a professional drove for us.
Have just finished the round island tour with Kaveka. As our guide he was very well informed on local areas and customs. Yes the trip is a 11-12 hour trip, but we got to see lots more than if we has driven ourselves. Lunch was delicious, van beautifully clean, plenty of water supplied between stops. Overall a great trip and worth every penny spent.
